Wow! Unbelievable! You left us so soon! Yet, the years that God allowed you to live on this earth, you gave it your all to bring souls to His Kingdom, especially through your music!!!! You did a marvelous job, Pastor Ken Reynolds!!!! Your legacy will live on in the lives of many, including me! My heart grieves, and tears are in my eyes as I write this tribute to you. I don’t understand it, but God understands it all. Often we wonder why tears come into our eyes, and burdens seem to be much more than we can stand, but God is standing near! He sees each falling tear, and also hears our tears when they fall. When grief has left us low, it causes tears to flow, and things have not turned out the way that we have planned, but God sees the tears of a broken hearted soul. He weeps along with us. I first heard Ken on a CD that I bought (just because I liked the cover design!!) - "For You I live" way back in 2006. We did almost all the songs from that CD at our church and it had a huge impact on our Worship. Since then I eagerly awaited new CD's from Ken - "Great Things" and "One World-One God" and we did many of those songs as well at our church. I was in contact with Ken over the years and was excited to hear that he was coming to my hometown of Cape Town, South Africa and it was a great privilege to meet him in 2010. Ken, you have made a massive impact on my life as a musician (challenged by all the breaks and riffs, especially on "Our Purpose"!!!) and as a Worshiper. You remained constant over the years, never getting overwhelmed by the commercialization of Gospel music. The one word that describes you is "Authentic". You were always authentic on the platform when you ministered. Listening to one of my favorite tracks now "You are my God" - sorry I am a bit biased as I am a guitarist (lol)! To Ken's family - he impacted people more than you will ever know and I know he imparted the love and faithfulness of God into your lives. His legacy lives on in your lives. To his church family - I am envious that you got to share many Worship moments with him "first time" on a weekly basis. Treasure those memories! I write this with a heavy heart.When I first heard Ken Reynolds albums I was so touched. I immediately asked my brother Desmond James to bring him to South Africa...This was officially Ken's first tour to Durban South Africa.For those that attended this night of worship @Jubilee Christian Fellowship in Montclair Durban in May 2011 will know what an impact Ken had made that night. It was an incredible night of worship. Ken was such an anointed worship leader and also a talented musician.The time spent with him will be treasured forever.
